Wild Places and Wild Things: 2016 in Review

Autumn is in full swing here on the elbow of Cape Cod and it is a time for transition for most observers of the marine natural world in this parts. Ocean and air temperatures are slowly cooling and easterly storms are more frequent. And the boats have now been hauled and stored for the long winter season. They will not see the water again for 6 months! Yikes that seems like a long time. Thus we are turning our attention to enjoying all that one can from a perch on land - waterfowl returning from the arctic, last bit of the southerly shorebird migration, raptor migration and owls at night! Looking back on the past year we are again reminded of how blessed we are and of the amazing beauty that one can enjoy in the wild on this beautiful planet. Hard to choose but below are some of our favorite images from the past year.
