White Shark Seal Attack

This sequence took less than 5 seconds and resulted in a missed kill by the white shark. Cape fur seals gain the advantage if the white shark misses on its first strike...presumed to be a total surprise. These images were taken in False Bay near Seal Island, South Africa in May 2011.
