    Polar Migrations

    The Barents Sea region well north of the Arctic Circle encompasses territory from Russia, Norway, Sweden and Finland. The area is uniquely wild and is home to one of the last truly nomadic herding cultures on earth, the reindeer herding Sami people. We had an opportunity to travel to the Norwegian region of Finnmark in Norway's far north to observe this remarkable landscape first hand in the waning days of winter.
